InvestmentNews set out on the ‘Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors’ project to identify and recognize firms that empower employees to grow professionally and provide clients with the best possible investment and financial planning advice. This ranking is the first of its kind for the financial industry. This 2021 ‘Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors’ ranking included 75 firms from across the nation, ranging from small practices with fewer than 20 people to large companies with hundreds of employees.

Firms were chosen based on employer and employee surveys asking questions about workplace culture, benefits, and perks. InvestmentNews partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research organization, to conduct surveys. Rankings were determined based on the voluntary information collected.
