Cassaday & Co. Founder, Chairman, and CEO Steve Cassaday has been named by Barron’s as a Top 100 Financial Advisor in the Nation for 2025.

Since 2007, Barron’s has been highlighting the best in the business with their annual Top Financial Advisors list. This list serves to spotlight the leading individual financial advisors from a range of firm types, featuring practices within Wall Street brokerage firms to independent advisories. The rankings for this list are based on hard numbers: advisor’s assets under management and annual revenue generated, as well as length of time in the business, client retention, advanced credentials, philanthropic work, and a review of each advisor’s regulatory record. It also measures a wide range of qualitative data aimed at capturing the resources that advisors devote to creating a high-quality experience and assessing their actual track record of serving clients well.  

The average age of advisors on the rankings, and for the industry, is pushing 60 years old. In one respect this is a positive, as investing perspective and experience with a variety of market conditions are exactly what clients demand from an elite advisor. The topic of succession planning is not new to our industry, with around 75% of advisory firms having a plan for operational continuity of their enterprise in the event of the death or disability of current leadership, according to Cerulli Associates.
